IT'S A...

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had our BIG Ultrasound today! Everything went really well. Both Shane and I were pretty convinced that we were having a BOY... And even told the Ultrasound technician so. We explained to her The Dahl family history that out of the 24 grandkids, 19 are BOYS and only 4 are girls.. and we were pretty sure that this one was going to round out the # to an even 20 for the boys. Not to mention Shane's dad is the youngest of 6 BOYS, Shane is the youngest of 6.. 5 being boys! And then of course, we already have Mason, who is obviously a boy.

So with all that being said, Shane said something like, "I wonder if he will have a lot of hair?" And that's when the ultrasound Lady said to us, "She is going to be pretty offended if you keep calling HER a HE.. because SHE is definately a GIRL!!!" Look here.. there are 3 obvious lines! Our reaction was INSTANT TEARS! We could hardly believe her! So after that news started to sink in and she continued to go back and get more measurements, we asked her if she could maybe show us 1 more time... in which she confirmed AGAIN.. 'YES, She is a GIRL!!" I was glad she was so sweet and nice about it all! lol!

Yes that's right Ladies and Gentlemen, WE ARE HAVING A GIRL! WAHOOO!

We are also happy to report that the ultrasound showed us that the baby was very healthy and she was measuring right where she should be! (12 ounces, and 19w, 5 days!)

Mason's first time bowling!

(Mindee helping Mason.. check out Patrick's sweet pose in the background!)

(Kenna-Marie & Mason with the pumpkin balls!)

On MLK day my sister-in-law called me and said they were trying to come up with something fun to do with the kids since they had the day off from school. It didn't take us long to decide that bowling was just the thing we should do! I was excited because it was Mason's first time and I just knew he was going to love it!

We put the bumpers up for the kids (and me too.. I stink! hehe!) We also got the ramp for the little guys to use. Mason thought it was all pretty cool but had a hard time understanding that we all take two turns each... And then you have to wait again until your turn comes back around! He kept going and grabbing his 'pum-kin' ball and running over to the lane and just dropping it down on the floor and trying to kick it! (hehe!) The people at the bowling alley weren't very amused I could tell. He really did love bowling and I can't wait to go back next time when Daddy has a day off so he can join in on the fun! I couldn't tell you our scores, but I do remember thinking I can't believe my 2 year old has a better score than I DO! Maybe next time I need to use the ramp too!

(bowling shoes shot)

I sure do love this kid!

Our Rainy Day Today...

Mason and I got to do a lot of snuggling and cuddling on the couch today since it was a rainy day in Southern California!

The highlight of my day was when he was sitting on my lap, then looked up at me, lovingly put his hand on my cheek and said:

"Momma... You got a boogie on your face!"

What would I ever do without him? lol!

80 degrees in January! I love Southern CA!

Last week we had some beautiful weather!

So I let Mason play outside in the backyard in a T-shirt and diaper and just enjoy being a boy!

(Until I took a closer look at WHAT he was playing in and got grossed out!!)

We also had this cute guy for the weekend! His name is Rocky! Mason was a bit sad when we had to give him back!
