Lately...
Shane and I are getting a lot more date nights now that the monkey is a little older. I loved this picture of us, even though it is smudged! (figures!)
Here's how we've been keeping the kids busy lately! We got them a "Club House". It has really helped with my sanity and the kids absolutely love having a playground in their backyard. With Mason's skin issues we spent A LOT of time finding the best shady spot in our yard to put this.
Mason has been doing really well. He just started kindergarten and we're completely amazed at how much he has already learned in the first 2 months! They say he will be reading soon, and with the amount of sight words he already knows, I would say it's only a short matter of time. He is growing up way to fast if you ask me!
Recently he has had a few laser treatments on his scar, so for most of September he looked like he had a shiner under his eye, but once the red faded away we feel like his scar is looking SO good! He's going to be having some reconstruction surgery in December to restore the fat back in his cheek. We're really hoping that will be the end of surgeries for a long time (or ever!).
Grant Laughing
This little monkey warms my heart! He's such a joy to have in our home! I've been quite the slacker since he was born and haven't posted ANYTHING! So redeem myself (just a little), here is a cute video of my sweet baby boy laughing!
My sweet little Manimal is now a crawling machine and pulling up to anything and everything! He can clap on command, and to me, sounds like he is saying "Hi" and "Yaaay!"
Naturally I think he is a genius. (He is, right?)

1 year NED
So I've been TERRIBLE about posting lately but 1 year NED derserves it's OWN post.
So what is NED??? No Evidence of Disease!
Just over 1 year ago Mason was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma. He just had a PET/CT scan last week and I'm proud to say that it has been an entire year with NO MELANOMA!
That's better than Christmas, Valentines Day and Birthdays Combined!
We are so proud of Mason and how well he has endured this past year. He is STILL on his Maintenance Chemo medication where he receives a smaller dose of Interferon via shots from Mommy or Daddy 3 times per week, but we're also excited to report that he is almost done with those yucky shots as well! We are counting down to Mid April when we can say ALL DONE. That same week also happens to be the exact same week of his 5th birthday. I can't think of a better birthday present, Can you? To be able to say that he is NED by the time he is 5!
We have so so much to be grateful for.
Thanks for all the prayers, support and well wishes on his behalf!
